I mentor and train dancers using my background in Vaganova ballet, Graham technique, Horton technique, Limon technique, contemporary and classical jazz techniques as well as my training in yoga and self-development. My contemporary classes consist of technical work, strength training, yoga and inner-awareness work to facilitate creative leadership that maximizes a dancer’s artistic expression. As a coach I work with dancers to create their ideal professional dance career while maintaining a balanced holistic, healthy lifestyle. I do this by utilizing goal-setting methodology and self-development work. For more information on coaching with me go here.
Elani currently teaches with pushing progress and Steps on Broadway.
Testimonials:
“I really enjoy taking classes with Elani Nicole. She is an amazing instructor and really pushes me to go beyond my usual dancing. She helped me reach further, dig deeper to bring my emotions into my dancing, and push to be the best dancer I can be. Elani takes the time to get to know each of her dancers individually and to recognize their strengths to make them each the best dancer they can be. I can’t wait to take more classes with her. I highly recommend her as a teacher and as a choreographer. “ – Amanda LaCount, Student at Denver School of the Arts & Levitate Dance Academy
"I am always delighted to take class with Elani. I love how passionate she is about dance and committed to showing others this beautiful art form. I also love how she always has a wonderful vibe while teaching that makes us feel comfortable to just dance. Elani taught us how to express ourselves while dancing and how to not just do a movement but how to speak through it." -Michael Giles, Student at Denver School of the Arts & Levitate Dance Academy
